About Scentsy

I first discovered Scentsy in May of 2009. I went into a vendor fair looking for candles. I burn candles like crazy since I live on a farm and I want my house to smell differently than the air outside. I didn’t have alot of time, so I told my daughters before we went inside that we were going in and getting out quickly. Do not go anyway else.  Well, I came across Scentsy and never heard of it before. I was there for two hours smelling the product. I was so intrigued by them. I bought his demo plug in and some fragrance that day. I came home and plugged it in and it smelled incredible. I wanted ALL of the scents. I did not want to do a party, since I already do parties in my current field.  I thumbed thru the back of the book and saw that you could have ALL the fragrances for only $99, if you joined the company. I called the guy at the vendor fair and asked him. .. What do I have to do to join your company? He said you must submit an order of $150 in 3 months or you will be terminated from the company. I said well, I can supply that for myself. I joined the same day that I discovered the product.  I am not a spontaneous person, so I feel it was meant for me to join this company.

Scentsy called to welcome me into the company. I said that was great, but I have NO intention of selling this product. I am a Director in a major cosmetic company. I have been with them for 12 years and have not intention of selling your product. They were very gracious and said well that is ok. We are still happy to have you be a part of our Scentsy family.

My kit arrived and I was like a kid in a candy store. I opened them all and smelled and smelled. I then went over to my friend’s house and she smelled and smelled and gave me a $250 order. Then she stopped and said .. You know that is stupid. I should join your team. I said I don’t care.. I am not selling them anyway. So, she was my first team member. People started hearing that I sold Scentsy. Only for me to tell them.. I don’t sell this product, but I can order it for you. Then people started begging me to host parties for them. I said I have a career already. I don’t want to sell this product.  The more I pushed Scentsy away .. the more the Scentsy opportunities came my way.  The company announced the “incentive trip”  HAWAII!!!!  That was my hot button!  I have always wanted to go to Hawaii, but having a demanding career and two small children. We could never go to this magical place. I read all the contest rules and told my husband that I would earn that trip for our 15 year Wedding Anniversary.  I worked really hard in my Scentsy business along with my other career. I became a director in Scentsy within a few months.

In October of 2009, I went to a meeting and my peers from my cosmetic company career were avoiding me like I had the plague. I later found out that they were upset that I was in another direct sales company and I should be aware that they could sue me over this. I was completely dumbfounded. I have given this other company 12 years of my life. I was a very dedicated member of the organization. Now, they were turning on me. I came home to discuss with my husband and he and I agreed that I should resign and return my career car to the cosmetic company and pursue the Scentsy business. It seemed effortless compared to my other career, plus the people seemed more authentic than I was accustomed to being around.

My husband has never been supportive of anything I have done in the cosmetic company. Now, he is booking parties for me and finding people to join our team. It has transformed my life. I am much happier and more relaxed than I have been in a LOOONG time.

I have been with Scentsy for almost a year in May and I have become a director with almost 100 team members. Plus, I get to celebrate my 15 year Wedding Anniversary in Hawaii.. Totally Free..

I feel very blessed to have found this company. If you really want to be involved in something very ground breaking. This is the company for you. I look forward to hearing from you and seeing what your success will be in Scentsy.
